Anna Lucas, IIDA, joins Pond as Business Development Manager
Pond is pleased to announce that Anna Lucas joined the company as business development manager for Pond’s architecture and planning group. Based in the Columbia, S.C. office, Lucas will continue to increase existing clients’ contracts and establish new business lines and clients in South Carolina, North Carolina and surrounding areas.
With more than 30 years of business development experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industries, Lucas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the higher education, military, government and commercial design markets.
“Anna Lucas will be an asset to Pond as she enhances our ability to meet client needs, develop new markets and direct growth of our Columbia office,” said Dave Yensan, program director for Pond’s Columbia office. “Her positive personality and drive will be a catalyst for growth as we seek to expand our client base and share Pond’s commitment to client service throughout the Southeast.”
Lucas began her career as an interior designer and facilities planner for several major South Carolina firms, and then transitioned to federal and military markets through her work as a federal sales representative and interior designer.

Lucas currently serves as Secretary for the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Palmetto Chapter. She previously served on the boards for the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Charleston and Savannah Posts and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) SC Midlands Branch.
In 2013, Lucas was awarded the SAME Carolinas Regional Vice President’s Medal for contributions to the SAME Charleston and Midlands Posts.
