Garvin Design Group’s Jerome Simiyon Earns Architecture Licensure

Garvin Design Group is pleased to announce that Jerome Simiyon recently earned licensure as a registered architect. Simiyon’s licensure follows the successful completion of the rigorous, six-part Architect Registration Examination (ARE) and certification by the South Carolina Board of Architectural Examiners. Simiyon is now one of Garvin Design Group’s 11 licensed architects.

“I am deeply grateful for the guidance and support from my colleagues, mentors, and the entire team at Garvin Design Group,” said Simiyon. “Their constant encouragement and collaboration have been crucial in helping me reach this milestone. It’s an incredible honor to now hold the title of architect, and I’m thrilled to have reached this point in my career. I’m eager to dive into the exciting projects we have ahead of us.”

Simiyon first joined Garvin Design Group following the completion of his graduate studies at Clemson University in 2023. He earned a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India, and gained licensure as a professional architect in his home country. Simiyon’s scholastic achievements include a semester in Charleston with Clemson’s Architecture + CommunityBUILD program and recognition with Clemson’s prestigious Harlan E. McClure Award. He has been part of the Garvin Design Group teams working on several athletics and hospitality projects across the state.

“Jerome was a natural fit for our team from his first day in the studio,” said Scott Garvin, President of Garvin Design Group, “His ambition and work ethic will take him far – we’ll be glad to say we knew him when.”
