If you are invited to participate\, we are confident that it will be an enriching\, engaging\, and an inspiring journey that will not be forgotten. \n\n\n\nHOW ARE CANDIDATES CHOSEN?\n\nEach year\, approximately 60 candidates are chosen based on community involvement\, capacity for leadership\, commitment to improving the Midlands\, and an interest in enhancing their capabilities. Applications are blindly evaluated by Leadership Columbia alumni and applicants are interviewed by an alumni panel. The combination of the application and interview scores are used to determine the class. Candidates will be notified of their selection status in July 2018.\n\n\n\nPlease understand that Leadership Columbia selection is highly competitive processes. The number of applications we receive always exceeds the number of participants we can accommodate. Therefore\, if you are not invited to participate in this class\, please do not be discouraged. It is not uncommon for an applicant to apply more than once before being offered an invitation to participate.\n\n\n\nWHAT IS INVOLVED?\n\nBeginning with an orientation in August\, class members will attend a mandatory two-day retreat\, nine full-day class days\, and a graduation ceremony. In addition\, each candidate is required to participate in the class project as well as various community events and volunteer opportunities.\n\n\n\nTUITION AND SCHOLARSHIPS\n\nTuition for Columbia Chamber Partners is $2\,100 and Non-Partners is $2\,675. Two partial scholarships will be available dependent on a need-based.
