On December 17, 2016, Fort Jackson, along with many others across the United States, will be honoring the lives of those who served our country at over 1,100 locations. The mission of Wreaths Across America is to, "Remember our fallen U.S. veterans. Honor those who serve. Teach your children the value of freedom." Two locations in the Columbia area will be participating in the national event, both the Fort Jackson National Cemetery and the Tree Site Strom Thurmond Building for Survivor Outreach Services. There are many ways to be apart of this celebration of lives, more information about how to be involved can be found at http://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/
