Hiring Our Heroes is a free hiring fair for veterans, guard, and reserve members, transitioning service members and their spouses. More than 50 local and national employers are expected to participate with jobs available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience.
An 8:30 a.m. employment workshop for job seekers will cover a variety of topics including resume building, networking, and interview tips. Immediately following the workshop, volunteer career coaches will be available to all job seekers who want to develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create a more effective resume.
Launched in 2011, Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment. This event has helped hundreds of thousands of veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment through more than 1,000 job fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and on military installations overseas; a suite of free online career-based resources; and the Hiring 500,000 Heroes campaign.
