Views from Capitol Hill on the election cycle, SC military, and Covid-19 relief.
Tuesday Oct 6, 2020
First Tuesday of each month from 8:00-9:00AM, excluding January and July. The Columbia Chamber has a long-standing relationship with Cassidy and Associates that began in 2003 and the Columbia community began posturing to protect our military base at Fort Jackson from elimination with the with the first round of BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) in 2005. Since that time, we have worked closely to ensure the Chamber and local business community is proactively working to support our military community, advance their mission, and continue to build the base. The efforts have been quite successful as we avoided the second round of BRAC and were able to rally the community in the “Save the Fort” during the 2015 which could have reduced the size of Fort Jackson considerable. Meetings are free and open to all who wish to attend.

Cassidy and Associates is also instrumental in working with our South Carolina Delegation for military related funding, CARES Act for Covid Relief, and numerous business issues. This is a great opportunity to hear from a distinguished panel who work daily in the midst of Washington politics.Fees/Admission
